this is the closest i ever get to the edge

yes, painfully aware that it has happened many times
the sense of denial prompts me to reflect
is the distress worth it?
there is more to life, more to life
though i never asked what the 'more' consist of
until i return to reality and yes
somehow i must get over the mountain
or at least crawl over
